Buzzy The Bee

On a beautiful sunny evening  my toy, Buzzy the bee, went to the library to find some books to take home. But there was a problem he didn’t know what to put his books in so that he could take it home.

So he went to the counter and saw a little red shiny trailer, so he thought and thought and thought how he could get it and the counter lady said “The only way to get this trailer is to ask” so he asked her very politely and he got it. The lady at the counter was really happy about his attitude so she gave him a blue lollipop to take home. He said “ Thank you very much “ and she said “ You're welcome”

After that he went to the childrens books to find some books. He found really good books called “What the ladybug heard and Little miss trouble”. Those two books were his favourite books. But he had a little think about it because he was going to have to take really good care of the books and to make sure its not ripped or drawn on.

Skating competition

On a beautiful, sunny day I went to a skate park with my friend Stan. We took our skateboards and helmets with us so that we can be safe, then we saw this paper flying around on the skate park I picked it up and it said “ Skating competition this friday at the pipe in town” Stan and I thought of something so that we could go to it, “ Yes ” my mum and Stan’s mum said together, me and Stan were really happy.

The next day past of excitement for me and Stan, we went to the skate park to practise for the competition, then after that we went home to eat some lunch. Stan had to talk to me about something so he went outside and said that he couldn’t do the competition because he had to go look after his sick grandma up North. So it was only me in our group who was doing the competition, I felt really bad for him because he couldn’t do it. Then we had two days until it was the final day.

The day is here. The competition was here and everyone was here, even my family and friends were here to support me. It was my turn, I was so nervous because the crowd went silent, but then in my head I remember what my grandma said when I was little “ Just believe in yourself “ So I did that, and then I made it I didn't come 1st but I did come 2nd place.

Stomach Churning

One day I went to a place where there was a roller coaster that was black all over with red and orange flames. I went on it with my friends.

As soon as we did the loopty loop I was about to fall out and puked in my purse. I held it in and then when it was the next loop I fell out screaming.

On my way down a long fall “ I got you” said a voice from above me. I looked up and there he was Superman. “ You rescued me from a very long fall how can I repay you” I said happily.

“You can repay me by doing your homework every night” he said, and read a book for at least 20 minutes, promise”
“ Promise” I said.

Mount Tongariro

Mount Tongariro is an active volcano. It has been said that Mount Tongariro has erupted after lying dormant for more than a century now, but this year we had one on the 7th of August 2012. The Roads were closed and the people had to stay indoors while the ash and rocks spewed from the mountains that Monday. Mount Tongariro is in the Tongariro National Park, New Zealand's first national park and one of the earliest in the world. 

Volcanic Eruption!!!!

Fuego's Eruption In Guatemala

Did you know that there was a volcanic eruption in Guatemala? Over 10,000 people have been forced to evacuate their homes after a massive volcanic eruption. Fuego, one of the world's most active volcanoes, started spewing ash and lava late last week. All air travel in the area was cancelled after an ash cloud started to spread for miles around. On Friday morning Lava had already been blasted over four miles away from Fuego's crater. It's the largest eruption in the country since 1999.

Dangers Of Smoking.

Smoking can cause death and different kinds of diseases. I believe that smoking is really bad for younger people because there parents would not want them to die at an early age. But some parents just let there kids do whatever they want, which is a really bad thing to do.

1 of the diseases is Lung-Cancer, lot’s of people who smoke mostly get this disease, and it’s only because they don't look after there body properly. Sometimes people will try and quit smoking, but it will always come back to you, and then it will become a habit.

It will become addictive to you because of the Nicotine alters the balance of chemicals in your brain, even if you want to quit smoking, you may find it difficult because you’re addicted to the effects of it. What I searched up was that the more you smoke the more your brain gets addicted to the nicotine. And it can also mean the the more you smoke the more things happen to you like Heart disease which could really kill your body and you.

I have shown what things that can get addicted to you and what the dangers of smoking is. I also have shown that smoking is really bad for younger people because it would be sad if they died at an early age.

Our New Zealand Soldiers remain in Afghanistan.

These were the ten soldiers who have died in Afghanistan.

On the 21 of August 2012, New Zealand’s Prime Minister, John Key, has reported that New Zealand forces will be remain in Afghanistan until 2013, because three more New Zealanders have died. Corporal Luke Tamatea, Lance Corporal Jacinda Baker and Private Richard Harris, these were the three people who were killed during the war in Afghanistan by an improvised explosive device (I.E.D), which is a bomb. On the 4th of August, Lance Corporals Rory Malone and Pralli Durrer were killed during an ambush in the area of Bamyan. Ten New Zealand soldiers have now died in Afghanistan. John Key says “the New Zealand soldiers have been in the area since 2003”, and that they will be brought home in April next year.
