Stomach Churning

One day I went to a place where there was a roller coaster that was black all over with red and orange flames. I went on it with my friends.

As soon as we did the loopty loop I was about to fall out and puked in my purse. I held it in and then when it was the next loop I fell out screaming.

On my way down a long fall “ I got you” said a voice from above me. I looked up and there he was Superman. “ You rescued me from a very long fall how can I repay you” I said happily.

“You can repay me by doing your homework every night” he said, and read a book for at least 20 minutes, promise”
“ Promise” I said.

Mount Tongariro

Mount Tongariro is an active volcano. It has been said that Mount Tongariro has erupted after lying dormant for more than a century now, but this year we had one on the 7th of August 2012. The Roads were closed and the people had to stay indoors while the ash and rocks spewed from the mountains that Monday. Mount Tongariro is in the Tongariro National Park, New Zealand's first national park and one of the earliest in the world. 

Volcanic Eruption!!!!

Fuego's Eruption In Guatemala

Did you know that there was a volcanic eruption in Guatemala? Over 10,000 people have been forced to evacuate their homes after a massive volcanic eruption. Fuego, one of the world's most active volcanoes, started spewing ash and lava late last week. All air travel in the area was cancelled after an ash cloud started to spread for miles around. On Friday morning Lava had already been blasted over four miles away from Fuego's crater. It's the largest eruption in the country since 1999.

Dangers Of Smoking.

Smoking can cause death and different kinds of diseases. I believe that smoking is really bad for younger people because there parents would not want them to die at an early age. But some parents just let there kids do whatever they want, which is a really bad thing to do.

1 of the diseases is Lung-Cancer, lot’s of people who smoke mostly get this disease, and it’s only because they don't look after there body properly. Sometimes people will try and quit smoking, but it will always come back to you, and then it will become a habit.

It will become addictive to you because of the Nicotine alters the balance of chemicals in your brain, even if you want to quit smoking, you may find it difficult because you’re addicted to the effects of it. What I searched up was that the more you smoke the more your brain gets addicted to the nicotine. And it can also mean the the more you smoke the more things happen to you like Heart disease which could really kill your body and you.

I have shown what things that can get addicted to you and what the dangers of smoking is. I also have shown that smoking is really bad for younger people because it would be sad if they died at an early age.

Our New Zealand Soldiers remain in Afghanistan.

These were the ten soldiers who have died in Afghanistan.

On the 21 of August 2012, New Zealand’s Prime Minister, John Key, has reported that New Zealand forces will be remain in Afghanistan until 2013, because three more New Zealanders have died. Corporal Luke Tamatea, Lance Corporal Jacinda Baker and Private Richard Harris, these were the three people who were killed during the war in Afghanistan by an improvised explosive device (I.E.D), which is a bomb. On the 4th of August, Lance Corporals Rory Malone and Pralli Durrer were killed during an ambush in the area of Bamyan. Ten New Zealand soldiers have now died in Afghanistan. John Key says “the New Zealand soldiers have been in the area since 2003”, and that they will be brought home in April next year.

Cross Country 2012

On the day it was cross country we all had to bring a change of clothes for our house colours, my one was Te Arawa which was red, I didn’t have any clothes with me that were red but I had my uniform t-shirt with me which was red. Then it was time to get lined up in our age lines, I was in the 12 year old line. The first thing that happened was that every house captains from each team had to do a song about them self, when it was Te Arawa turn ( My Team ) we did ours like this we had to copy what ever our house captain did and he said “ Everywhere we go, people want to know, who we are, shall we tell them, we are Te Arawa, from the east of auckland” and that was it.

When it was time for the 12 year old girls to run I was so nervous and I felt like I had butterflies. We had to wait for a little while because the 11 year old girls and boys had to go first, but that was fine with me because my family had more time to cheer me on after they had to leave. Then it was our turn I was happy and nervous at the same time. After the clap went then we started jogging and some of us were running. When I went out the gate it felt like I was playing stuck in the mud because of how my feet got stuck in it, but I was still trying to finish the race, I was so tired that I needed to have some air. When I got to the beach we also had to go around this massive farm with lots and lots of puddles around it with mud in it I got so dirty but I didn’t care. After that we went through the reserve and through the bushes and trees and down paths and up paths then I had another rest because my face was hot and felt like it was in the sun for 2 hours, then I was close to the finish line but then they told us that we had to go around the big field again and then there it was the finish line. I tried my hardest to get to the finish line and guess what I did but I’m not sure what I came but the main thing is that I finished the race.

The London Olympics.

My best friend Sarah Walker you know the famous BMX rider well she is joining in the London Olympics 2012. Sarah Walker is a BMX racer who was born in Whakatane, New Zealand, and lives in Kawerau (New Zealand). She started BMX riding in 1999 when she saw her brother, Matt, riding one day.

When she went to the London olympics she came second place with a silver medal in the BMX race. She is the bestest friend and I guess that lot’s of people would want to be like her, but me I want to follow my dream because my dream is to be an actress because I want to be an actor when I grow up, or a probably a famous singer.
